Quaife sequential crack#
Anytime I pull the engine out, I crack open the gearbox and inspect (which is about yearly). The Quaife QBE60G and QBE69G heavy duty 6-speed sequential gearboxes are offered with several bell housings to fit a number of popular racing applications. The key is getting a GCU to perform the no-lift shift so you don't wear the dog gears prematurely, and making sure it's setup correctly. Also had a bad shift where it damaged the shift fork, also due to the not having no-lift shift. I didn't have the no-lift shift, which wore the dogs prematurely on the 1st-2nd gears. Did a handful of drag launches, but otherwise mostly street and circuit. Torque has been in the 350ft-lbs to 480ft-lbs range. Slow ramp up from 380whp to the current 610whp.
